The wired network can move more information through it than a wireless network, which makes it more appealing to an office that moves huge files. The wireless network will get to the same point eventually, but when it does the wired connection will have improved greatly. When the wired connection improves the office will have to spend more money on new cables and the labor costs that go with it. This will make a wireless network more appealing to offices that only send text files or small file sizes. The cost of a wireless network will always be cheaper than a wired network, which makes it the standard for most offices today. Management used to be more personal back in the day in today’s world the boss can be across town and still bark orders at you. If there is anything that an employee doesn’t understand it’s better to be right there ready clarifying any instructions. If a person can manage anything responsibly and efficiently from a long distance more power to them.

A lot of businesses operate through a chain of command where the head boss tells the next guy down what needs to get done who then see to it that the command gets carried out. The head of a company can now reach all of his employees at once by his cell phone. This might eliminate some people in the chain of command, but the need to have a person working underneath the head boss to manage projects is still there. Nothing says authority like being there yourself; people don’t respect the commands that come from a phone. When it comes from the owner of a company they might think twice about following them.
